Common questions
My similarity score seems high – what should I do?
Open the report and look at the sources. Quoted text with a citation is usually fine; use the filters to exclude quotes, the bibliography or cited text. Tick How to fix under “More checks” for ready-made citations.
A match is from my own earlier paper.
Tick Own earlier work separately under “More checks” – matches with your own saved papers are then listed apart and not counted.
My check stopped or failed.
Send the file again – finished steps are reused, so it continues quickly. If it keeps failing, send us the file name and the time.
How do I delete my report or my paper?
Open the report and press Delete (this also removes a stored paper), or send us a message with the topic “Privacy / delete my data”.
I forgot my password.
Send us a message with the topic “Account or login” from the email address of your account – we will help you reset it.
How do I join my class?
Ask your teacher for the class code, then enter it on your dashboard under “Join class”.
